I get coldsores quite frequently. What I do works and it cuts the cold sore healing time in half. Once you feel the first blister coming go to the mirror and if you see blisters there. Start squeezing like crazy. It will hurt a lot. But better than the embarrassing aftermath. Squeeze pimple you see until the fluid comes out. Then pour hydrogen peroxide in it and all over so that it kills all the germs. Keep repeating this for however long you like. I usually do it every hour if I am at home. Then when you are not doing that put abreva on it to dry it out. It will heal faster and peel over in about 2 days, which is better than 10! trust me, it works! good luck!

Oh. I'm the exact same. I always get at the most inconvenient times. All the pupils in my classes are going to be teasing me about it.

sterilize a small needle with rubbing alcohol. hold an ice cube to the sore for 1 minute. use the needle to pierce each little blister. generously apply hydrogen peroxide. you may need to repaeat a few time. apply chapstik, neosporin or petroleum jelly and watch as the sore fades within the day

if you don't like needles you can uses the scour side of a sponge. just use alcohol to sterilized then rub the sore till blisters are broken (this does hurt ALOT) then apply acohol or peroxide...its worth the pain, this method works well just be sure to keep the sore moist afterwards or you'll have a big scab on your lip

its my first day of high school and i had not had a cold sore for ages but of cause it had to come on the day were i start my new school. i new that every person that talked to me they were looking at it you can see it in there eyes. my mum always said you cant even see it but i know they were only trying to make me feel better, well it did not work cause when you have a cold sore your confidence just goes down and even if they say its not that bad you still feel like $%&*@$%& i just wish that cold sores never were something you could get.

i'm trying it now, it doesn't hurt that much, you just have to take the pain, if it hurts, it means it's working. dw it hurt me for the first 10 mins but it's all good now :)

i get you completely because i have one. they are extremely embarassing and soo annoying i get the once every about 5-7 months. What may explain alot is the fact that im sick. im using this cream called zovirax, i find it works pretty well but it still takes time. i tried the toothpaste and salt combination and let me tell you something, it burns but it heals my cold sore sooo quick. I put some of it on my lip and it was burning like crazy but i just held it in. I know that the burning feeling is a feeling that means its healing but it kills. i tried it many times and after maybe 20 minutes of putting it it kinda got absorbed but i still took the rest of. the next day overnight it dried up and when i woke up there was a little red bump that just blended in with my lip. over the day it went away. that was about 6 months ago and know i got it. i think i should go put some! hope this helps!
